1. My favorite color is navy blue, grey, or plum. I love all colors though and colorful things.

2. My travel destination of choice is any place new. I love traveling (duh, we know this over here) and love exploring new places. I like traveling to quaint places full of beauty. But right now I'm craving an all inclusive beach resort. One day, one day.

3. My favorite food is mozzarella cheese.

4. My happy place is whenever I'm making art.

5. My favorite saying is "clearly". I say clearly all the time. But I have lots of favorite quotes. Here are some:

7. Something friends might say about me would be along the lines of...my obsessions with art, trivia, and all things nerdy. I'll be travelling the world one day with my multiple children, I drink a lot of margaritas, and I'm extremely inappropriate. But in a funny way. Anything else, friendzies?

Hipsta-Tahoe

We're in Portland right now, but I've still got some Tahoe to share.

We spent our time playing Apples to Apples, building towns with blocks, golfing, singing, dancing, beaching, and of course...eating.

i don't even know what to say...

...the more I hang out with the three year old brother, the more I act like the three year old brother...

 napping + sun + music

 beach + wiffle ball

 margaritas + colorful beach chairs

 a mommy + a peanut + sand toys

 colorful umbrellas + lake

creeping with a camera + on the verge of heat stroke brothers

well, maybe not so much...

but we're happy anyway.

I'm not a beach kind of girl.

But I love being in Lake Tahoe, sitting shore side, because of the surrounding mountains.

The snow covered peaks frame the crystal blue water, and I'm in love.

The water may be colder than a Southern California beach, the sand a bit sharper.

But the scenery is too good to pass up.

Giant redwoods and pines separate the busy road from the busy beach.

The toys of choice are speed boats, jet ski's, + paddle boards.

My drink of choice is a frozen margarita.

As per usual.

My skin is bronzed and covered in sand; my heart full.

Just the way I like it.

This week: Rainbows.
I took this little number while in Scotland this past April.
I edited it for a vintage feel, but kept the vibrant color.
I like it a whole lot.
It's quite cute.

While in Germany, I had a bike.

She was Dutch. 

And brown.

And cute, with her cute basket and flowers.

I miss her.

So, of course, I had to get a bike here in California...

Well, I was going to add one to my birthday wishlist

[seeing as I get another year older in August]

But a good family friend told me over margaritas,

[really, what else would it be over?]

that his wife has an old bike she wants to get rid of.

I drove over, tested her out, and shoved her in the back of my car.

I love her, even though she is a mountain bike and will take some getting used to.

[I feel awkward on anything other than a cruiser...]

But, the best part is that she was FREE.

Now all she needs is a name.

Who has some ideas?

She's definitely a 'she' and she is black with hot pink lettering.

'Hard Rock' painted on her side.

She's light, but tough.

She needs a bad ass name.

my week via the iphone:

 lots of babysitting, hanging with the fam bam, world cup soccer, food, pedicure with mama...

 hanging with the little broski, new sandals...

obsessed with my new maxi skirt that can evidently be worn as a dress (score), drinking with the fam at yardhouse, paasta pomodoro left overs, my cute cousins in suits, and athlete crush dirk at the espy's.
